Small press directory
If you are looking for a small press that reads submissions, this directory is a place to start. It lists independent presses with the genres they publish and their stated reading periods, and each name links to the press profile on Poets & Writers, where you will find submission guidelines and contact details.
Reading periods change often, and some presses close temporarily. Treat the dates below as a guide and confirm the current terms on each press's own website before you send anything. Presses are listed for reference, and each name links to its public profile.
