Information you give us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, postal address, details about your book or project, manuscripts and other files you upload, and any messages you send through forms, email, phone or live chat.

Information collected automatically. This includes your device and browser type, IP address, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We collect it using cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.

Payment information. Our payment providers process payments. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.

We use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and prepare quotes;
• provide the services you request and manage your project, including sharing drafts and files;
• send service updates and, where you have agreed, newsletters and marketing messages (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• operate, secure and improve our website; and
• meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We treat manuscripts, interview recordings and other project materials as confidential. Only the team members working on your project can access them, and each is bound by a confidentiality agreement. We do not share your materials without your written permission, and we do not use them to train external systems.

We share personal information only with:

• service providers that help us run the business, such as hosting, email, payment, project management and live chat providers;
• printers, distributors and retailers, when you instruct us to publish your book; and
• authorities or other parties where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet legal, tax and reporting requirements. When a project ends, you can ask us to delete your information or return your materials, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep something.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access or correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to opt out of marketing, and to receive a copy of it. Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws have additional rights under those laws. We will not treat you unfairly for exercising your rights.

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Children’s book projects are commissioned by adults. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
